Ela Koseoglu’s latest work consists of exploring wearable art showcased via the medium of photography.  She comes from an Istanbul urban fashion styling and photography background however her connection with the small northern Aegean  island of Bozcaada has led her to a new direction.

Her transition to the ‘hands on’ medium of jewelry , explores the boundaries of organic objects through hard edged urban metal. She explores this through her designs using found objects sourced from her island explorations. Bones, feathers, drift wood, shells and stones, are recurring motifs in her work.

She values uniqueness over conventionality and spiritual energy over the emptiness of commercial practice. Her creations are a complex fusion of hard-edge urban mixed with organic and natural.

All pieces are designed and hand- crafted by Ela Koseoglu.
